The Assane-Seck University of Ziguinchor (UASZ) is a public higher education institution located in Ziguinchor in the Casamance natural region, in southwestern Senegal.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/span>Originally planned to be a Regional University Center (REC), the project to set up an institution in Ziguinchor turned into the creation of a full university following a decision by President Abdoulay Wade.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Thus, the University of Ziguinchor was pedagogically opened in February 2007. In 2013, the Institution was renamed in honor of Assane Seck, a Senegalese academic and politician.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
